Default Suspension Question

Well...Mach 1's come stock with springs+shucks/struts built for the drag strip and for the 1/4 mile, basically built for launching. They also have springs 1/2 inch lower than stock Mustang GTs.
I was thinking about purchasing H&R lowering springs w/ Tokico HP Shocks/Struts and MM Caster Camber plates...but with lowering springs and new shocks/struts, I will be weakening my launch and only gaining looks and some handling performance.
I use it as a daily driver, rarely go to road courses or road tracks, and only take it to the dragstrip a couple times per year...what spring/shock/suspension in general would you recommend for me, as I am really in a bind right now (plan on ordering parts within the week)
Thanks guys[sm=signs003.gif]

Im in the same dilemma, except I'll probably end up ordering next month. I am for sure going to get some springs, but I'll prolly go with steeda springs and some adjustible shocks/struts. that way when I go to the track, I can change how it rides, and still have comfort on the way home.

In your case(s), the best route may be getting adjustable control arms and adjustable shocks/struts. That will give you better options for DD and track use. Besides, if you have not replaced the control arms, you may want to anyway to hook better.

yeah I'm definately going to get some upper/lower control arms...I just don't know if I should even bother with springs/shocks/struts since they could worsen my suspension (launch-wise)

if you're worried about launches - get drag shocks/struts with drag springs

any brands in particular?
I'm thinking about Steeda sport springs...they don't lower it enough to effect launches too badly

Any lowering springs will hurt your launches. "I" would keep stock springs..change out to Strange or QA1 adjustable front struts and rear shocks. With non-adjustable upper/lower CA's, you will be fine for occassional teack visits. If you get adj. CA's, just get the uppers adjustable.

thanks Code...where would I buy these?
I saw both brands on JEGS but wasn't sure which to get specifically, especially the Strange adjustables...none of them are made for 03 or newer models?

I run Strange's on my 01 and I have Strange rears on my 92. I want Strange's for the front of my 92, but the fox body ones are on back order. I will be ordering QA1's for the front of the 92.

I noticed they also have coil overs...are those also bad for launching since they lower the car
