Short throw shifter

RE: Short throw shifter
In a related topic, I had a thought about shifters.
I find that in order to have the petals and steering wheel at a comfortable distance, I have to stretch to reach the shifter.I want my hand to rest on the shifter with my elbow on the console arm rest, or close to that. It seems the shifter is about 1.5-2 inches too far forward. Does anyone else have this issue?

RE: Short throw shifter
I was thinking that if we generated enough interest, we could contact MGW, Steeda, etc. and see if they can make an upper shift handle that has a longer rear offset. I know the materials can handle it and there is no clearance issues with the console or cupholder area. If I had a CNC machine, I'd make my own to test the idea.
What do you guys think?

MGW is the most preferred and probably the best. I bought a Steeda first, then MGW, now I'm stuck on a B&M ripper. Call me crazy but I prefer the B&M I dont know why lol

RE: Short throw shifter
My car came with the Tri-Ax so I don't know how bad the stock shifter is. Overall it's ok, I don't like the 2-3 shift at all though. I've actually pulled a 2-5 shift quite a few times
