You probably got a 9415 pre-programed tuner from them. You would be better with a 9400 and a custom tune, but you can reflash that at any time from a dealer that has been through the training at SCT, and has the full suite of software to tune.

Does it ask which vehicle you have when you start to tune or does it say 9415 anywhere on the tuner?

For the time being, if you have the optional parameters, you can drive to the inspection, reset the codes from your x-cal2, disconnect the battery to make sure it resets the computer, then reconnect it and use the xcal2 to take out fuel at or below 2k rpm. This should get you through the inspection as it usually takes a few miles for the computer to through codes again.

If it fails, they will let you retake it, contact us and we can email a tune to correct it and then retake the test. Good Luck.

Where do you get the USB cable that connects the tuner to your computer?

you can get it at most office supply stores or radio shack. office depot, office max, staples, best buy, circuit city, etc all should have one. If need be, take the x-cal with and show them the plug in and tell them you need it to go from that to USB.

from what tuners tell me (ones that use both) - the Diablo has more things you can do by yourself... but the SCT is better for them to use - more options.

[:'(]To all those stupid problems.....Snipertuning.com ...It is the only way to fly IMHO. Build your own tune. I would highly recommenda A/F gauge.

I have a Sniper tune in my car... but I would recommend to NEVER tune your own car.

EDIT: well only if you know how to.
