Sweet. Can't beat feeling a difference in power for that price. I'm actually in the process of making a ram air kit for my car. It's a lot similar to yours.
IMO, it's worth it for the little extra power. I'm working on the same thing. Where the air goes in though, I would paint it black so it is less noticeable. Mines also giong to be a little different at the opening due to my GT front bumper.
they also sell bypass valves that imports use for ram air setups
I was also lookig at those to use with my system. I was going to mount it somewhere in the fender.
lol... thats how I roll!!.... if this works well I will build it again out of sheet metal and have everything welded together as opposed to using foil tape. Then grind it and sand it smooth and then paint it black. This way I really dont have to fab anything up, I can just duplicate the setup I have now..... I went to autozone and I saw a fuel pressure guage... I dont know if it will read air pressure but it reads in increments of 1psi at a time up to 15.... Well they also sell the hosing for regular boost guages so I thought mabye I will buy those two... Then hook up the hose to the air box and then fish the line and guage into my car and then I can tell if it creates any measurable pressure... I bet at 80mph it creates atleast 1psi when the throttle is closed. I'll see....
I am also thinking I will take another 4" straight pipe and create like a "Y" pipe and mount the inlet in the other little opening in the bumper this way I can grab more air and increase the pressure.
