lol.. well this is my ghetto ram air I made, well I was bored what can I tell you..... I took some air conditioning air ducting and piped a tube from my bumper to my filter. Well let me tell you, I notice a difference. Surely its after 60mph but I usually cruze around on the freeway at 80mph anyways. Plus its just a trial, a prototype to see if its beneficial. I am going to the track tomorrow too, so having a trap speed of around 103mph it probably will help some.. When I took my headlight out at the track I gained a 1/10th of a second.... And if anyone wants to be as ghetto as I am and want to replicate it here are the parts I used... Thats how I roll.... And then there are some pictures of my car just after I waxed it... nice a shinny, it needed it bad...

3 - 4" elbow $8.76
2 - 7" end cap $9.32
1 - 4"x24" pipe $3.43
1 - 7"x24" pipe $4.98
1 - roll of foil tape $7.28

total.... $33.77

Car looks good man...

I thought this was going to be another one of those stock airboxes with holes cut in it. Yours looks pretty well thought-out though.

For some reason that looks MORE restrictive[8D], untill you get to the bottom pictures, never-the-less, nice looking Mustang, great color combination. Give it a hug for me.[sm=smiley31.gif]

That doesn't look too bad. Alot better than I could have done.[&:]
How did you know where to put the MAF? Does it have to be at a certaindistance from anything? Or could you put it anywhere the wires would reach?

the box surrounding the filter is air tight... Its sealed off, along with all the piping. So all the air the gets "rammed" up the piping gets compressed in the box and forced in the engine... I notice more throttle response too, like when I let off the throttle and the TB closes that allows the air to get compressed in the intake since it has no were to go. Then when I get on the throttle that charged air gets force in my engine. This is a actual ram air, not just a pipe giving it fresh air..

lol... I know I was getting a bad vibration on the highway because of that. I dont know how the hell you saw that from that pic, you got good eyes! I replaced my control arms in the back and wasnt paying attention when I put the wheels on. I swapped them around, the next day.. Much better know.. lol.

As for the rain, I am going to drill some weep holes in the piping that angles up and at the elbow on top. I think that will allow the water as it goes up it will hit the piping and escape out of the holes... they also sell bypass valves that imports use for ram air setups.. I'll probably buy one of those. It was just something for me to do today.... Havent fine tuned it yet
