Yeah, thanks for the input on that subject. All my friends are giving me a lot of crap for buying a Ford, they're all f-body fanatics who worship the ls1. They callme a sell out, but they're just jealous in my opinion. Some have z28 and ssand some don't. But the ones with the v6s say that firebird and camaro v6s can keep up and beat most Mustang gts between 93-98. Is that true?
Not nearly. Im jealous of my dad and quite a few others. He has a 99 TA WS6 unmodded. That LS1 whoops my car everytime. same thing with a slightly modded base TA around here. But the V6 camaro i have raced was smoked and then the guy dropped the SS engine in it a couple of months later to still get beat, not smoked tho. I was in my dads car in Nov. and witnessed first hand that a new edge Cobra fell to theTA. Im a Stang lover no doubt. But i hate ford >/ this is the only product ill drive of theirs till my dying day. Sposedly im going to get rid of 91 Jimmy st and get a pontiac 02 GA GT and enter into the V6 ring. Theres not many people around here that like to race V8s including the local V8 community.
May have been a New Edge, but it wasn't a Terminator. See Code's video of a Shelby GT500 running a 14.5ish quarter to see what a bad driver can do.

maxima>rx8 in str8 line... the maxima is a fast car... 265bhp/260lb ft tor... FWD... 3500lbs. You should still beat him though.

The rx8 just has a cai and some type of exhaust from what he says and the Maxima is completely stock. The dude with the Maxima says stock wisehis car puts out 260 hp, not sure about torque. He says he kills v6 camaros and mustangs for handily and the older gt mustangs are no problem to keep up with.

Your car is considerably faster than stock pre-99 GT's. You'll have no problem at all. But, I stress again, learn your car, especially at higher speeds.

How much weight imI giving up to the maxima? Are those the same engines they put in those 350zs and infinitis? I think I better learn to launch real good first and get some mods. I have the flowmaster 40s, but I need to get the mid pipe. People say the h works better with the flows rather than the x. Should I get better gearing?

lsu - he is around 100lbs heavier then you... and while he has the hp, he doesn't have the torque.. your 302 vs his 250

The 2 best things you can do to your car is gearing + supercharger... lol.. search the forum for the gearing thread...

and the motor is the same size as the 350.. but not as tuned, probably different internals and what not as the 350 puts out 300bhp...with flowmasters i'd get a h pipe...

lol...one thread at a time man. Do some browsing, read the stickies on top of the page, etc. Everything you could think to ask about mods-right now anyway, is already listed here for your convenience. You just gotta find it
