Default New diff info.

My 4.10s came in this morning, and I was thinking, since I'm gonna have the rear end apart anyway, why not go with a Detroit or Eaton possie. Any info on the pros or cons to this? Is the 8.8 LSD good enough? Thanks for the info.

I like the Eaton over the Locker on the street. I love my Eaton.

Did you change the axles? Or did they drop right in on the stockers? Mine's a 98, they should be the same axles right?

I'd upgrade axles before i'd worry about the diff unit, then slide on some slicks and do some 6000rpm launches!

if your gonna upgrade the diff then do the axles also...31 spline for both. I use an Auburn Pro diiferential but its definately overkill for the street but since i don't drive it much i don't mind the occasional clunk or clank.
