Wow I never though about doing a burnout in reverse. Then again I can't think that stupid

Well okay maybe I can Why would you possibly want to burnout in reverse?

If by LSD you mean limited slip, mustangs dont have limited slip. They have trac lock. Vety vety different.

trak-loc, lsd, w/e. Why is trak-loc called a Limited Slip Differential buddy. I came here for answers, not opinions, not to be flamed. Goes to show how mature the majority of the members here.

No I'm not trying to do reverse burn-outs, you're out of your mind to even think that. I ask this because I live in a Snowy Climate and when I go to reverse out of ice out parking spots, I get the one wheel peel. So knowing if it in fact is not meant to work in reverse, helps me for future encounters with ice and snow. I'd rather park in reverse, with some momentum, and leave in a foward gear, instead of parking in a fowardgear with ease, and being stuck when its time to leave with reverse.

and btw, goes to show how smart you really are. If I was indeed wanting to do burn-outs in reverse, it would be accomplished a lot easier without the lsd functioning.

Yea well a "forward burnout" would be a lot easier without LSD too

I can't imagine the diff would lock differently in forward or reverse. If you've had the 1-wheel-spin while reversing on ice but it's OK in forward? To test the diffclutch, jack up ONE rear wheel off the ground, make sure the other rear wheel is still touching the ground. With the tranny in neutral & engine OFF, try spinning the raised wheel BY HAND. If the diffclutch isgood you shouldn't be able to hand-spin the tire.
