The good news is I doubt that it is mechanically related. Have you tried resetting the ecu yet? I bet that would work. First unhook the negative cable from the battery then the positve. Let it sit for 15minutes, then hook the battery back up, this time put the positive on first and then the negative.

is the key turning over? i know its a stupid question but you could just have wheel lock, jiggling the wheel will break it free. first year i had my stang mine did that and i didnt know what it was so i was out popping the hood, and the alarm kept going off. it sucked

Stick a bottle in it's mouth and let "your baby" eat.

I hate when people call their cars " my baby ".......your car is not your kid.

Now on to the question.........buddy of mine was trying to use a duplicate key one time to start his car and it would turn over but not start......gotta have the factory key.

Because they need to be programmed.

Duplicate keys don't need to be programmed, they just dont have the microchip that the master key has.
