Default X pipe install

Well I have decided to buy a catted x pipe and just save the stocker for smog checks here in Ca. There may be one problem. The place that put in my catback welded them to the stock cat. I assume I am gonna have to fix this so they are clamped? I am going to have a shop do this, since I have neither the ability or place to do the work.

Second, I was looking at either the SLP catted X or a Pypes catted X. I am leaning towards the Pypes, since the cats on there are CARB legal so they should burn cleaner.

Just looking for opinions and/or experience here. I have already bought shorty headers, so this should be the last part in my exhaust. (I gotta do shorties, I do not want to bother with removing those every other year)

if you are replaceing the midpipe and headers - welded in cat shouldnt be a problem -

I have no expierance with slp or pypes. I personally like Mac Prochamber, and I think they have a CARB legasl catted midpipe
