It was just a mental deal. I've spent more time at the track than you've spent driving your car.
Trust me, it was just gained confidence. When you lower pressure on street tires, they 'crown' and you actually decrease the contact patch.

Idk when I went to the track I was spinning horribly at first. I'm talking about 2.6-7 60' times. As soon as I dropped it from 35 to 25 PSI my 60' went down to high 2.2s-low 2.3 60.'
Trust me it wasn't the fact that I "gained experience" it was the tire pressure.

If you are on street tires, don't drop the PSI. It won't help you. Keep them inflated at the recommended pressures.

Next time I go I'll have to try it out without lowering the pressure. Perhaps it was gained confidence but damn my car was spinning hard just taking off from idle before I lowered the pressure.....

Leave your car at stock pressure & bump up the front tires. You'll be surprised how much better it sticks.
I don't mean to sound like a ****...but street tires don't respond the same to DR's when you drop pressure. They crown and the tire will rest on the outside edges and you'll actually be running down the track with less tire contacting the track.

I would keep the rear tires at what is recommended on the tire. I would make sure the fronts are the pressure recommended on the front.
You'll have less rolling resistance in the front and the maximum amount of tread will be on the pavement in the rear. DR's aren't just a softer compound, they are built differently so when you drop pressures the sidewall flexes and helps plant the power.
