Default CAI question....

Aight fellaz, gotta question for ya..... About 2 weeks ago I installed a BBK CAI...everything was fine for a while, then about 2 nights ago (after quite a bit of playing ) I could hear a funny noise from inside the car, something like air coming from the pipe. Then when I shut the car off, it sounded like someone opened a propane/nitrous tank, continued to make the noise fora sec after the motor was shut down. All this comotion is coming from the right front fenderwell, which, of course, is where the filter is. Although it sounds "cool" while running, I am kinda worried. Any ideas/suggestions?? Yall the first Ive come to ask..... Thanks and Happy New Year!!

That is what my friends intake does. You can hear it sucking in air when the engine turns off for a second.

Thanks fellaz , I was assuming it was air still being sucked in, but I was jus making sure everything was cool, since it didn't carry on that way at first. BTW, sorry ahout the descriptions ^ there, best I could come up with right now

Is that what that is???!!! I've been toying around with the car to find out what it was exactly. I guess I never let anybody turn the car off while I was under the hood. I just have a fenderwall K&N filter, with a stock intake tube. I actually have aquestion about that...is a fenderwall K&N considered a CAI? Never really asked.

It's cool when you have the hood popped and you pull the throttle spring...you can hear this "fwawhoosh" sound coming from the filter. It's pretty cool. My car'sMach460 has some static to it, and when the volume is down, it has a whining effect which increases in pitch and loudness according to how much gas I give it. It sounds almost as loud as a frikken supercharger. Cool to fool people who don't know what ya got under the hood!
