hey gang i got a gift certificate to a local window tinting shop and i dont know what percent tint to get, i dont want anything too dark because I dont need any more cop trouble than i already have, thanks

First step is to check what is legal. In indiana, any tint at all that isnt manufacturer/dealer installed is illegal.

i went 20% on the sides and 5% on the back
but 20-30 all around should be fine

check with your local police dept. around here if its to dark, you get a ticket,no slack at all!

I have 15% all around the car....i live in NJ and had my tints for over a year now, and never been pull over once because of them..i've gotten pulled over for other thing (Speeding), and they still didn't say anyhting bout the tints...so idk...PBA cards would help get you out of a tint problem...

I have 15% all aroundcurrently but used to have 20%. I loved them both, and honestly you can't tell much of a difference in them, they're both pretty dark. Just check w/ people in your local area and find out if there's much trouble w/ the law, because you don't wanna get the tint and keep getting tickets for it.

Laws vary from state to state. But I have 20% all the way around. It's perfect. Not too dark, not too light. I can see fine at night time, and nosey people can't see inside my car in the day.
