flowmaster catback?
 

thinking of gettin a catback system from flowmaster....my question is since its not stainless steel how long with this setup last? i dont drive it in the winter so salt wont be a factor.

if its garaged in the winter and kept out of the bad weather most of the time...longevity shouldnt be a problem with the aluminized steel.

I had a Flowmaster cat back on my 89 5.0 LX. It was on for 3 years until I got rid of the car and it was still in great shape. The tips are stainless and they didn't have any rust on them. And this was in NJ, too. I would say that they could've lasted another 3 years in NJ with no problems.

It does drone, but with an O/R mid pipe, it's a little more deeper than just a drone I think.

some people cant have O/R mid pipes so what do they do?? :eek:

You're absolutely right...You can use Delta Flow mufflers from Flowmaster. They have less interior sound than the origanal 40 series.

offroad midpipes make the drone a LOT worse. As for the delta flow 40 series, they still drone a lot with an offroad midpipe... If you dont want drone and you want flowmasters buy the 50 series, or Force II, mufflers.
