haha i lucked out on the rental car. i was in a pretty big hurry when i stopped by the rental place, and the only thing they had available right away was a 07 chevy impala! it only has 10k miles on it. haha not bad...not bad....only thing is...its fuggin purple!!! ack!! eh well...its free. the dealer said if everything goes perfect my car will be done sometime tomorrow....if not....then monday. im crossing my fingers for tomorrow tho....i miss her!! plus i cant wait to get her back with basicly a new tranny, and slam thru the gears, haulin ***! lol

let me know how things come back to you..

they had my gt for like 2-3 weeks when they dropped a new 3650 in there. i wasnt on my extended warr yet so i didnt pay anything!!! on my ext warr. if something happens its 50$ deductible hah.

anyhow UPDATE US!!!

I would have sorted out stuff before they went tearing into stuff. You'll most likely pay double the amount for labor @ the dealer... if it's not going to be covered.

Ive never had a problem with ford takeing care of warranty issues, they actually are pretty friendly to deal with.

They repainted my 02's hood when it chipped off from a pressure washer. all I did was go to the ford body shop for a estimate and they told me They were going to do it for free. So I was like **** that sounds great.

Honda however is VERY picky on what they will and wont do. ifs its a sports car they WILL be investigateing it. they tried to **** me one time ona motor issue and get me to pay to tear it down, and if it was covered they would reimburse me. I wasnt going to bet 700 against it because the drift i felt I got Id get my **** torn down, and then they say it needs a short block and wouldnt warranty it. Then I would have had all my parts in some box and not know where they went.

woooohoooo ford called me around 5:15 this evening telling me my car was ready!! went and picked her up, she shifts great now....no more grind!! the bill was $2,453.49....thank god for extended warranty's!!! i paid $100!! =]~ anyway just thought i would give you guys the update....four days later im no longer stang-less, and shes all fixed!!
