Default CONCLUSION!! ??WOULD YOU BUY THIS STANG? CONCLUSION!!!!

??WOULD YOU BUY THIS STANG?

Okay I currently own a 2005 GT Coupe, its got 7,000 miles fully loaded 5 star condition. I found this dealership about an hour away that has an 2004 SVT Cobra with 32,000 miles, of course loaded, but has some wear/tear/ding(s) and needs tires. Here's the kicker though, the motor in the Cobra has been pulled and replaced with a brand new one. It had to be swapped out supposidly because the previous owner ran 87 octane. It has the same SVT 32valve 4.6 with eaton blower, and has aftermarket UD pullies. Its under warranty for another 4,000 miles. I'll attach the pix and VIN# for you all to see of the SVT. If anyone has a carfax account or something similar to find out any history that would be greatly appreciated. I currently dont have an account but if anyone has one of those with unlimited Vin# searches that would be Awesome! Anyhow so It sounds like the dealer will do a straight swap but I'd like to put a few bux in the bank for tires and any issues I may run into. Anyhow would you do the deal, or how much would you want $ on top of the SVT to make the deal. Any comments/feedback/etc would be greatly appreciated!! THANKS GUYS!!

it's obviously been driven hard and hasnt had the best of periodic maintance done to it...terminators are some of they few mustangs you can still buy that havent been abuse...i would buy it ONLY if i could get it for a VERY good price and i would make them include an extended warranty for free..id be like "if you have confidence in what you sell then youll add this warranty for assurance to me the buyer" or some bulls!t like that...extended warranty for free or no dice...whats the asking price anyhow?

I would trade for that f'ing beauty in a heartbeat. I would carfax it though just to be sure. And you said they swapped the engine? Hopefully they didnt swap it with an engine with more miles on it. I geuss theres no way to prove that though.

Thanks for the responses guys, no-ones said anything in the 2005+ forum yet other than vote no (everyone of em)... The asking price is $21,000, and they said the engine is brand new, came straight from SVT (supposidly)... They claim to also have a clean carfax for it... Anymore feedback would be awesome!!!

oh i just saw the straight swap thing...i would probably do it but i'd have it checked out first and defenantly get the warranty...or be like...say you have 25k left on your warranty for your stang now...make them put a 25k warranty on that one, see what i mean? or just some kind of warranty past 4k miles..thats pathetic.

The 4,000 mile warranty is whats left from the factory, and the dealer im buying it from is a little used car lot so I highly doubt they would add that in... But it never hurts to ask I suppose. Im kinda hoping to get sucha good deal it wont matter, but who knows, I really like the condition and low miles of my current 2005 GT, but then again a Snake would be SICK!!!
