I do lots and lots of city driving as well so how do you think i feel. I have 4.30s. I go through like a 1/4 to a 1/2 and tank a gas a day. I'm probably only getting like 4miles to the gallon.

there is no reason not to use first, your using too much clutch to use 2nd like that all the time

ah i see. yea I dont plan on going like dangerously fast or anything. I've only been up to 130 and got freaked out. But just trying to see how you guys feel about your 4.10's for daily driveablility in the city mainly in 1st gear. I would like to take it to the track a couple times just to see what kind of times I could get. So maybe I should stick with them, to hopefully rape on the road too. Does anyone feel like if they didn't have 4.10's they wouldn't be able to kill a similar car on the road?

gas.... wow. yea.... I dont think a smaller ratio would help out gas mileage really. Gears only affect mileage a little bit. I think its just the MUSTANG itself. If I floor it a couple times, I will already get 14 mpg, and nothing more city. I ACTUALLY got 17 mpg, shifting at 2k or less every shift on a tank and I was SO proud. Highway is always like 25 mpg though. But damn, its hard, I know what you mean. I reset my trip every time I fill up, and at like 30 miles my tank is almost down to 3/4's its crazy... and i dont get it, cuz the tank is 15.7 gallons, but when I was almost out of gas I filled up 10. Do we have like 5 gallon reserve tanks or something?

i used to own a 04 cobra before this cobra i have now. It had 3.55 gears and this new one has 4.30 gears. It is a huge difference. I don't really like the gas mileage because i drive it alot but, the take off is unbelievable compared to the 04 the 96 takes off like no other. I used to bog all the time in the 04 but the 96 there is no way to bog.

man I want a blower so bad. Maybe when I get out of school, no cash. [:'(] With a blower wouldn't 4.10's be CRAZY though? I've read here to go with like 3.73's with F/I

if your going with a roots type blower yes but, if you go with a centrifical s/c 4.10s are perfect.

no dude hes not kidding I'm sure, I'm the same way. I get like 180-200 miles a tank. Do you think if I got a tune I could get better mileage?
