There isn't that big of a difference between a Z28 and an SS. 98-02 both had the LS1. There were some small differences between them, but if you get your a$$ kicked by SS's you should be getting your a$$ kicked by Z28's as well.

You can't powershift an Auto last time I checked...

Check into a stall converter when you look at gears. Getting 4.10 would be nice, but launching at 2,500-2,800 would be a 1-2 punch.

Yeah, don't fool yourself. There is no difference between Z28/SS other than an appearance package.

If you are an automatic and he can halfway drive, even with a LT1 he'll mop the floor with you.

Whats that you say? its a chevy?

I have walked a Lt1 before but I am manual, the race wasnt even close but he was auto and I could tell he couldnt drive.
Ls1>Gt5speed>Lt1>Gt auto
