Default Lowering

I decided to go ahead and lower the car before i get my rims. I live in oklahoma and such so i cant drop it to the ground but i want it lower. I think im going to go with the Eibach pro kit. I know its only 1.5 inches but will that be a noticable difference? Also, how low can i lower my car (03 GT) without having to change anything else and have no problems? And how much would you guess for install? Im going with 18" rims so i hope 1.5 inches is enough..

Haha, Oklahoma roads suck. I'd be worried about dropping it at all, especially now that I have exhaust on. The Eibachs are definitely good springs to go with and the 1.5" will be a noticible difference. Go take a tape measure out to your car and look how much 1.5" out of the wheel well would be.

I'll be in the same boat that you are in... I want mine a lil lower but still high enough for roads, speed bumps, drive ways, etc without scraping and scratching everything underneath. I think you would be happy with the Eibach springs.

As far as if you just look at the bumpers its not too much of a visual difference unless you have an unlowered V6 parked next to you. Looking at how much better the wheels fit into the wheel wells makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE WORLD. Trust me I didn't notice a difference until I looked at my wheels in the wells especially when driving by in my second car with my roommate driving the Mustang. Its INSANE looking

i just ordered the H&R Sport Springs which are similar to the pro kit, it says it should lower it 1.6 up front and 1.5 out back. reason i didnt go eibachs is ive heard sometimes they sag and make the back look lower than the front. im sure whatever you go with it will look good, the goal for me is to get rid of the 4x4 look and achieve a good stance at the same time.
