Default Power Shifting

I know it is a stupid question, but I was wondering how you power shift? I hear people say to do it all the time and dont know what they mean.

I recommend turning traction control off everytime except when it's bad weather. But yeah, power shifting is just keeping the gas down and you'll probably chirp the tires in lower gears, so I'd keep traction control off. I don't know exactly how it works on our cars since I don't have it on mine, but it'd probably set it off.

haha traction control needs to be off, regularly getin on it - powershifting its a must!
if your correctly powershift its not going to hurt anything... dont do it all the time, but your shift should only take 2 or 3 tenths of a second... powershifting REALLY wakes up the car.. its too much fun at this point since you didnt know if the trac off would help, I suggest you go beat on it for a while regularly shifting and get good at that before powering it. Powershifting is not taking your foot off the gas, also olny work the clutch to the point if disenganment when you shift (takes practice) to a get an even faster shift. Hiting the 1-2 powershifting perfectly - stock car can hop pretty hard so make sure you are a conifident driver and just ride it out.. dont take your foot off the gas.. the first time i did it it spooked me, but its important that you learn to ride the wildness out and dial it back it in

Yeah, I never power shift. At most I semi-power shift. I just shift fast enough that the RPMs don't drop, and hit the gas the second i let the clutch out. It doesn't get that extra torque that power shifting would, but I also don't drive a damn race car in my neighborhood. I leave the full power shifting on the streets to the ricers who want to show off.

Edit: To clarify, I'm not saying it's a ricer thing to do, I'm just saying that I constantly see ricers doing it lol

if your still missing third get an MGW shifter. I've only missed it once since I got it and that time my hand slipped of the handle before I got it all the way in

Ok well if you dont know how to powershift, that means you have to learn. While you are learning, you will F up. Once you get decent at it, its still VERY possible to miss 3rd with any shifter. powershiftinghas to be VERY precise. Just a1/10 of a sec off, and you will bangHARD
