Default **Traction Control on/off** help

I have no clue when my traction control is on or off. I know this seems stupid but i cant feel a difference. I have a 1996 GT and the switch is in the middle concole. When the side of the switch with the traction control symbol is in the down position is it on or off?
Please help

Was that even an option in '96? Does it say TCS? I thought it was only on the 99+'s... Glad I don't have it!

Im with MD on this one, Next time you wash your car, get the tires real wet, then do a little burn out, you will know if its on or not.

while we are on this topic is there a way i can make it so it automatically goes to TC OFF rather than having to turn it off all the time? I only use it when its raining.

Dallas mustang make a TCS control module that will keep it off if It was off when the car was shut off or turn it on if the TCS was on when the car was last shut off.

You can also have it turned off if you ever decide to "tune" or chip the car. One of my friends has a 02 GT with about every bolt-on you can do. He saved the gears for last along with the tune so he could adjust his speedo and turn his TC off.
