Default DAMN< IM EXCITED

Well, as you can see in my sig i was building a n/a nitrous build up with 11to1 compresion. Well i went to the machine shop and took my je flat tops and gave them 16dish pistons that would yeild 9.5:1 compression and i sold my nitrous kit and N/A cams. What did i do? I went and bought a novi 2000 blower. So the new setup is forged aluminum short block, stage 2 heads and a novi 2000 at 12-14psi. For yall that dont know, the novi 2000 is maxed at 32psi on rase gas[:-]. So new goal, stock cams 500rwhp!!! What yall think about that?

PS: if someone is looking for heads, i have a set of mmr stage 2 ported heads brand new in package with up gradedcomp springs, brand new there 1399 plus shippingill sell them for750 plus shipping

offffffffffffffffffffff course, once i get out of college or get me another d/d im swapping this s/b out and putting a 5.4 with 4v heads. so 500 hp now 800+ later

I dunno if you are gonna like the results of your setup as a DD man. Even with the stock shortblock and 420 whp I would not want to drive my car daily. The in town fuel milage is nuts, not to mention the little PITA stuff like the idle and chatter down low.

Why not, im prob going with stock cams and moderate boost. Are you saying corvettes gt 500 cobras ext shouldnt be d/d?

Even with the stock heads, stage 2 cams, and 10 PSI I am looking at like 8 MPG city.

With the stock cams it won't be bad for idling/driving I guess, but the fuel mialge with any boost at all just seems to drop like crazy if you have your foot in it at all.

I do still get 20+ MPG on the highway though.

But boost wont hit till 3000+ rpm and you have to remember that cobras, gt 500, ford gt, and some 05+gts have blowers and i wouldnt imagine 8mpg with a stock car. My dads c6 corvette has over 400 rated horse power and i **** you no it gets 17mpg city

I'm just telling you results man. If my foot is in it at all, it gets nothing for MPG in the city.

You cannot compare a vette or any other stock car for that matter, once you start adding aftermarket parts its all out the window.

It still gets 20+ MPG highway, but its no daily driver. With a stiffer than stock clutch, cams, etc etc, I would definatly not want to be driving it every day.

Gotcha, thanx bro and good luck with build. Ill also be in college on campus so driving is minimal except when i drive home (2hours)
