Whining issue
When I first got my car (beginning of summer) I noticed a whining sound coming from underneath the car when I was in drive only. The previous owner had mentioned the transmission had been rebuilt, but was not quite sure of the specs exactly (not very car aliterate). I asked if he had gears put in and he was not quite sure. So I took it to a good friend of mine that is very knowledgable with Mustangs and he said it was the front tranny pump. I'm not quite sure if i heard him currectly, its been since summer when he told me that, but have any of you had this same problem and is it infact the front tranny pump or could it be that the shop that rebuilt the tranny put some sort of gears in?

RE: Whining issue
The whine isn't high pitched, just a moderate constant whine, doesn't change tone at certain rpms, but only happens in drive.
Other symtoms, not quite sure if they are related....
~ The car seems to hesistate (jump)slightly when I brake
~ When I shift into any gear, I have to force the shifter to move and ontop of that, i'm not sure half the time if its even engaged in the right gear because it doesn't click or lock as easily as it should.....make any sense?
