if there's still time, why not just call your insurance agent
and tell him/her you want coverage for one or two days....
it might just be a nominal fee like $25 - $50 perhaps less
I would try this to. My car was parked for a month and a half until my truck needed to go to the shop. I just called my insurance company and told them I needed my car for a few days. They didn't even charge me for the first few days. They said they could do that once a year for me.

I will let the gears collect dust and have them installed in the spring. I can do some other things while it's cold up here.

you guys gonna be fronting him the cost of his car if for some reason ANYTHIGN happens..

even if its not his fault and he's in an accident in an uninsured car, it doesnt get covered by eitehr side,, im pretty sure about that one..

NEVER drive your car uninsured,, even if its a beater, if youre in an acident, youre liable for EVERYTHING out of pocket

Think of the other guy. If God forbid you hit someone severly, without insurance, how could you ever compensate the other guy? What could he sue you for? He could be ruined finacially as well as you. Here in NY if you drop Ins you have to hand in your plates, and they will come knockin if they don't see them in a while.
