arnt equal length headers the same as stock manifolds? or is there a slight difference in them?

i was thinking about getting hte new h-pipe/x-pipe and CB exhaust, and when i had more money get shorty headers, would that be fine? or would i have to redo the exhaust once i got new headers or would that only be with equal length or what?

Flowmaster, Magnaflow, Borla and SLP all kick ***. You can't go wrong with anyone of them., it all depends on what sort of sound you are looking for.

NO equal length headers are not the same as stock because stock tubes are different lengths. They do that so your car is more "controlable", basically so even grandma could drive it and be fine. Start with the headers first and make sure*every tube* isthe same length (they can be shorty's or long tubes, just same length tubes.) After that go with your mid-pipes (X-pipe/H-pipe; doesnt really matter they do the same thing.) Choose your mufflers and tips. If you went from long tube to shorty's you'll have to get pipe to make up the difference. My personal preference is to go with long equal length tubes, they sound better and do exactly the same thing as shorty's and arent a b*tch to take off. take it like this: BOOM! piston is pushed down by the combustion inside the cylinder, valve(s) open to allow spent gases to exit to allow next combustion, the gases are then sent through the headers to the mid-pipe. the problem with shortys is you lose alot of back pressure (which is something you want!) The longer the header pipes are the more back pressure you have and not only will it sound better and give you more HP but it can give you better gas milage, but they have to be equal length to get the best of it all. They might be a pretty penny more but I think they'll be well worth it in the grand scheme of things.
