i was just doing the clutch pedal adjustment|lifting pedal and fully depressing it in my garage|and now i hear a springy noise(thats a technical term) coming from near the clutch when i depress and release the clutch. could the cable have too much tension now? it is a very loud spring noise and i depressed and released the clutch multiple times and it still makes the noise. i have the tremic tr- 3650

RE: release fork spring noise? DANGER? SQUEAK!!?
The stock clutch cable is self adjusting, so it shouldnt get too tight... Its your throwout bearing, its a very common problem in our cars... Does the squeeling or chirping go away when you depress the clutch peddle a little bit? If it does then its the throw out bearing for sure. My throwout bearing started squeaking at 38,000miles.[:@] Then I replaced it and the clutch, now the new throwout bearing is squeaking bad again at 50,000miles
