RE: 6cyl need help bc no v6 owners have a brain!
I pay for my GT and I am a 19 year old college student working part time at a grocery store. I make $9.50 an hour. I pay for the car, insurance and my mods coming this year. If you want to make it work, you can. It is not hard.

How much rwhp can you get out of a fully built v6? If I would sell me stang (hypothetically of course) and bought a V6 I could have a little over 6000 to spend on a sixer. I could get an M90 supercharger off ebay, A built 4.2L engine from Redline Performance, and a split port intake upgrade with new coilpacks and wires, gaskets, cams (535 lift), ported heads, intakes, throttle body, and full machine work. Plus bigger injectors. All of that would cost only a few hundred more than I would get for my stang. Now I would never do this because I am going to be supercharged by the end of the summer in my GT, but how much rwph do you think a sixer like that would be seeing? It would be a good sleeper and probably kick the *** of some GTs.

6k would get a nice setup, it should get you atleast 11s if not 10s if you hunt around for some used stuff and do the work yourself
matt neuthart is running 9s for something like 8k i think, also you dont need a "fully built V-6" they were modifed copy of the buick grand national motor, but they are stronger, and have aluminum heads which can be ported easier, the stock block and crank have been proven to about 800 HP, and while it hasnt been proved yet, it is believed it is capable of the majical 1000 mark on a stock block and crank

the problem with me was that i didnt know about stangs much ,but my parents financed the vehicle for me for my 18th bday since I have no credit. It would of been nice if it was a GT[8D]

CAI and nitrous are not ricer mods, they are car mods. Save all your money that you would be spending on mods and save up for your GT. You will be happier in the end with a GT rather than spending a ton on the sixer.
