The sensor issue is a common problem with our cars, and unfortunately it's not just a simple sensor. The sensor (and you can look through the coolant cap and see this) is a little floater on a post. Depending on how high it floats, the car knows when it's full or low on cooland. The problem is that that floater is know to get stuck at the bottom of the resevoir. The real solution is to replace the whole resevoir, but you can also attempt to take a toothbrush or something and clean off any desposits that may have collected on the post that are preventing the floater from floating. When you see that light, unless your coolant really is low, that's probably the problem. Go see if the light is on right now, and if it is, take off the coolant cap and look in and to the right side (and back a little I think). You should see a post. If you don't see a little black floater at the top of the water, that's your problem.

At least your warning light went off. When my intake cracked and my coolant sprayed out of the car, no light came on. The only way I realized it was that I looked down at the temp guage and it was running hotter than it usually did. I pulled over and saw I had no coolant in the resivoir. That sucked, to say the least.
