The LTs are expensive, and a PITA, but there is a signfincant power and sound increase, even on a mildly modded bolton GT

but, what do you plan on doing with your car? Do you just plan on staying around 250-300rwhp with your car and leave it like that? Longtubes make the car sound great, will give you nice gains, but the bad part about it is - they're expensive. You will spend easily 600 bucks on just the parts... 400 atleast on good ceramic coated headers... and a short midpipe.. and if you dont know how to install it, most shops will charge you around 4-500 to install... thats a lot of money just for sound... it also complicates things a lil bit if you ever need to swap your clutch, drop your tranny etc. - -- longtubes I did on my 04' GT when I had it, and i wouldn't do it again, at the time that i did it.

btw, the manifolds aren't THAT restrictive... you dont start really seeing how restrictive they are until you start making high hp..

Correct me if I'm wrong but when you put onLT's don't you gain more on the mid to upper rpm's but lose some of the torque on the low end?

Hmmm.....I never thought of camming the stang first. What would be the best mod for my money? full exhaust or cams? and what kind of tuning is required for cams?

If your just going to get cams and not longtubes then you will have to just get stage 1s which will not need a custom tune.

Longtubes will give you more of a gain when you get your cam, as a cam will add more power when you get your longtubes... it works both ways, they both run around the same amt if you have to pay someone to do it.. You will probably need a custom dyno tune when you cam your car... so why not save all your money and do them at the same time, this way you have your tune as the last part of it... and you should be pretty close to 300rwhp which is your goal.

EDIT: but you can spend around another grand and get blown and be at 350-400rwhp :O instead of the LT's and Cam... and trust me - that s/c whine>cam/lt's haha
