Default MGW?????

Ok i just got my MGW shifter, i did every step on the book that they gave me.. For some reason it doesn't shift right.. first - second perfect when i shift to third and reverse it feels like it's in neutral and it feels like the ball is coming out of the trans cup... please help!!!!!!

you dont set the shift stops if its a tremec 3650... did you put the plastic black cup on the bottom of this shifter? I did that at first too.. but check your stock shifter if you see that black plastic ball get it on there right away.. the guys at MGW told me that, you not having it will be REALLY bad..

I got installed mine today and it went fine. Check what the others have said and go back over the instructions making sure you did everything right.

It seems like the shifter is not long enough on the bottom to stay in the shifter cup it come out in third gear.. I dont set the shift stops if its a tremec 3650??????

If you have the tremac 3650 remove the shift stops right now. They are not required. The page where is talks about shift stops read the bottom note it says it all there.

I will try that first thing in the morning thanx.. Also i was told that i have tremec 3650 transin my car it's a 2002 gt hope fully i was given the right info...

Yes, late01-04s have the Tremac 3650.

Ricky, when you take your shifter out 2morrow look at the bottom of it - Make sure that black plastic cup is on the bottom of the shifter - that sounds like what your problem is... I had the same thing with mine when I first installed it
