Default hid installation

i ordered hids and was wondering where everyone mounted the ballasts (i think thats what the box is called). Pics would be greatly appreciated. Are they really as easy to install as companies claim? I ordered the bi-xenon 8000k hids from stangmods to retain the high beams. thanks!

I just got the 10000K units a couple months ago. I got the Bi-Xenons for the headlights and mounted the ballasts right behind the headlight in the little nook thats back there. I also got the fog light kit and mounted the ballasts on the backside of the front crash bar...

How much did your HID's cost? Where's a good place to get a good deal on them?

i ordered them for 292.45 shipped from stangmods.com with the discount code. I got the kit that has high and low beams, they also offer a kit with only low beams for 250ish.

Are HID's really that much better? sorry to steal your thread but it seems you already had an answer. Is the clearity that much better that you wouldn't need high beams?
