Default SLIPPING CLUTCH CAUSE T/C TO ENGAGE???

strangest thing has happened to me twice in the past month, i was on I4 this morning bout 9am and was following my boy on his bike. I merged on and hit it in 3rd, shifted to 4th and my T/C engaged, this happened bout a month ago and thought it was just road moisture but now i know its got to b something else. My question is if my clutch is starting to slip could that engage my T/C???

My car is a stock 02 gt and my tires are only 2 months old.

The only way your t/c will engage is if you lose traction. A slipping clutch won`t engage the t/c. You may have a sensor going bad.
