Default stumbling / misfiring?

Hope somebody can help, I've got 2000 GT that seems to have a stumbling problem. When accelorating under load mainly at low rpm the car stumbles. The check engine light is not on. Under hard acceloration its better but you can tell something is not right. If anybody got any ideas of where to look I would apreciate it. Thanks

I just had the smae thing on my 2002 GT. My cats went bad, so when I got those changed, my car was still stumbling. So I changed my o2 sensors and the da## thing was still stumbling. My pony started back firing. So finally I took it to an auto shop and found out that my # 3 cyclinder was misfiring because I had a bad Spark plug coil. After that was changed all of my power came back. I ended up changed my spark plugs also. Hope this helps.

+1 on the spark plugcoils. My buddy has had 2 go out on his 99 with around 100K in the last three weeks. Acted exactly like you describe. Hope that helps

Yeah, I had 109000 on my car. At around 50 bucks a piece, I hope the other 7 hold up until I change them.

I just replaced the intake gaskets do to a coolent leak at the thermostat. It had filled all four of the spark plug holes with antifreeze. I thought that was the problem, After drying it all out I still have the problem. I will have to check the coils and see what happens. Thank for the ideas.

Doesnt hurt to clean all your sensors either. Pull your MAF, IAT, etc and spray electric contact cleaner on them, then dry them with caned air. Could be having issues and just not throwing a code.
