IMO blower choice and tune are whats really important... bc the 4v's need work on them too when you get to crazy power levels... its cheaper to modd what youve already got - whether its 2v or 4v

nothing to regret - its all money... a 4 banger runs 9's with money... it really doesnt matter bc just about everybody is limmited to somewhere around 600 rwhp on a pump gas...

With either motor it seems like you'll easily get to your 11 second goal but might as well go with the 4V in case you ever feel the urge of going faster....
I'm already in high 11's but don't want to go any slower....just want to know if a 4-v will help.

of course - 4v's are great - but is it better than aftermarket or cnc'd 2vs - no, also the 4v are more expensive to mod and work on... there are tons and tons of 2v's in the 8's and 9's... just need stonger internals, more boost and race gas... but if you want my opinion the track doesnt me crap to me.. whatever times I run I want them on street tires.. if it cant do it on the street... it can't do it... same as the 3.73 vs 4.10 debate.. the 4.10 is faster with equal power - period... but in the 1/4 with enough power youll have to shift to 5th.. .while this is a neg on the track.. it not so much on the street, bc if you make that much power then 5th will be necessary anyway. But if your a pure tracker who wants a manual 3.73 may be better, but if you make serious power, almost everybody switches to auto and runs 4.10-4.56.. hell i dunno just research and see whats the best fit fot you and how/where you intend to drive

The only thing the 4v cars really do alot better is maximum WHP. It isn't that hard to make 800+ with a 4v assembly.

If you have the choice of doing either a 4v or 2v swap with a forged assembly, I would do the 4v only if I was going to plan toexceed 600-650 WHP.

Otherwise, save the money it would cost you for the 4v assembly to port your stock heads and install aftermarket camshafts. Along with the bullitt intake you will have a great setup.

None of the top end parts, including the bullitt, will fit on a 4v assembly. You will have to use 4v specific parts.

This is all assuming you are working on a (somewhat) limited budget and want the most bang for your buck, AND that the 4v assembly is going to be fairly expensive. If you can get a steal on a 4v assembly I would do it either way.

Have 550rwhp. Don't really want more than 600-650 max for daily driver (actually weekend driver). Will probably just forge, port/polish, maybe cam it a little (stage 2?) and stick with the12lb boost and be happy. Ruins the lives of those rich Z06 kids already. (I'm 57 and loving it!)

Ok dude, in one post you say you have around 500rwhp, then you just said you have 550rwhp, which is it? And secondly, your runnin 12psi, which is kinda uncommon on a GT and your rwhp is definately uncommon. To get anywhere close to or over 500rwhp you need serious work done, forged internals, built bottom end and the whole works, and you still have stock cams, which aftermarket are definately needed to make the power your talking you have. Just dont get 500rwhp or more out of your setup. But it does sound like you havea nice car and nice future plans.
