Just finished spring and control arm install but have questions
Just today I installed bbk lowering springs and upper and lower granetteli control arms. I must say it was a complete bitch of a job. I used all the supplied hardware but am a little weary of how the bolts and stuff will settle. Im thinking about jacking it up all the way in a week to re-tighten all the bolts. I tightened everything as tight as I could with a ratchet so should I be ok or is double checking a good idea.
I will get pics up soon

be careful tightening too much. there is such a thing as OVERtightening. overtightening could actually be more deadly than not tightening enough. you should be aight though, just double check yoursefl in a week or so.

Go by factory torque specs thats what they are there for just like JJ03 says its bad if you under or over tighten. It is always wise to go back and check everything to just for personal satisfaction. Hows the ride now, did you noticeless wheel hop etc?Dan

Awesome, I did my Ford Racing C springs and the summit racing upper and lower rear control arms (black) at the same time, they made a huge difference in looks and handling. Make sure that you get your alignment checked out. But you're right, go back in a few days and recheck all of the nuts and make sure thatnone have come loose.

I went back to stock control arms last week, and the torque is 71-91 ft-lbs. For all eight bolts. You should buy a toque wrench its neccesary if you do any work on your car.

Im pretty sure I didnt over tighten since i was only using a ratchet and the fact I'm not that strong. It accelerates like a whole new car now. It doesnt seem to winde up anymore and wheel spin has been cut in half.

definatly a pita of an install
but there is no way you could have overtightened with a HAND wrench
as for your concern with loosening bolts, y didnt you used sum locktight then?
you shouldnt have a problem though, they are sum pretty heavy duty nuts and bolts
