RE: Can I Port/Polish My Own Heads ??
i wouldn't port my own heads, odds are you will mess up the velocity and they will actualy flow less. From the guys i talked with before i purchased my heads they all said the gains are in the short side and a gasket match is not going to do much at all...

I've helped, it took many templates and working everything to size. The power difference was significant, but we practiced on an old set of heads before we went working on the good heads.
IMO, all the time and effort we put into it, it would have just been easier & worth to have a machine shop do the work.

There is more to it than I am up to. I can polish the exhaust ports/passages and gasket match, etc. and I think that will be it this time. It's kinda the "if it aint broke....don't fix it" situation. Thanks. Poppy
