Default Urg...

So, after i get a car wash, some guy says, "hey i got a buddy who can fix that on your hood for about $40" and i said "okay sounds good." (i thought i was the usual scratches). I came home to find a 5 x 3 area with NO piant on, it all chipped off. I have an 03 with 24k miles on it. Has anyone ever experianced this kind of chipping? this should happen.... i need to get a new paint job? right now it looks very bad... i think it was from the $8 wash i got. P.S. I am not happy right now.

Does anyone know why anf how much it will cost?

I've got a mailbox dent in the side of my GT where someone who worked at Maaco followed me into a parking lot and sold himself to make me want to have him fix it for $240.

When I inquired why the paint would be so cheap with my color he kind of shaded out and asked to open my door and look at the catalyst.

He stared at it for a good 20 seconds and said, "Oh yeah, you've got special paint. I can get it ready for paint."

Sounds like a scam.

And why wasn't this guy slaving away Maaco on a tuesday at 2:30 pm????

dude you need to go to the dealer and ask about a paint defect issue.pending on when you bought it, with that low milleage i would see if the dealer will help you out first. outside that painting a hood w/ refinishing will normally run about 600 bux

A pressure washer can strip the hell out of a car.
