I have a bone stock 96 GT auto, I kno its a automatic but it was either a V-8 auto or V-6 manual soo i made the sacrafice. I kno my year mustangs are not as fast as the 99+ but im looking for high 13 low 14 without a PI swap

went to the track last nite and ddid three runs, first time ever racing

First run
r/t .400
60' 2.269
1/8 9.904
mph 71.97
990' 12.774
1/4 15.363
mpg 90.19

Second run
r/t .357
60' 2.268
1/8 9.887
mph 72.15
990 12.749
1/4 15.325
mph 90.75

Third run
r/t 0.061 -- yeh thats rite
60' 2.271
1/8 9.8
mph 72.5
990 12.658
1/4 15.221
mpg 90.92

Any comments or suggestions about my times are appreciated

Looking for low 14's, anyone tell me what i need to get there besides a pi swap? how much do 3.73's take off ur time

Those times seem about right for a bone stock auto 96 GT. Gears should be your first mod. 4.10's are a good choice for autos. Full exhaust and a good tune will get you into low 14's. Of course they are many other mods to choose from.

Some 3.73 gears, Nitto 555r rear tires, aftermarket mid-pipe & catback... that should put you low 14's no prob

How much time do the Nitto 555r's and 3.73's shave off? I have aftermarket catback and midpipe with 2.3 60' times and it was hard to get into high 14's will nitto's and 3.73's drop it a full second?

If you had 3.73's and nittos I would say close to a second if not just a little more. The first 60 ft is the delicate time in the race. From there on out its all WOT.

You guys are telling him exhaust, stickys and 3.73s will put him in low 14's. Look what i have done to mine and im in the 14.3 range. He has an auto, im not too sure if he will see low 14's with just exhaust gears and rubber. I do realize i dont have sticky rubber, but my best 60' is a 2.0 on my Michelin pilot sport cups. very soft tire. Im planning on a 75 shot and Mickey thompsons et streets. Im hoping to see mid 13's

Ummm...

I ran a 15.3 w/ a bad MAM, Plug gaps set 2x too wide, and bad plug wires... All I had was a magnaflow catback and a cheapie CAI from e-bay...

All the while my car was running pretty lean.

Get a tune up!
