Ummm, do people actually believe that just because Steve autographed the car that it's now a REAL Saleen???? Now THAT's funny![sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif][sm=icon_rofl.gif]Steve will autograph dang near anything that people ask him to. In fact, my car is autographed twice (which means absolutely NOTHING when verifying the authenticity of a Saleen). Carroll Shelby has autographed hundreds of "clones" - are those suddenly all REAL Shelby's now? Not quite, but nice try....

I have the Saleen registry sitting in front of me. Trust me, there's NO "06" car in there. Go over to the Saleen board and ask the guys if Deejay has a "Saleen"... Or call Saleen in the morning and ask them to verify the authenticity of car "06". The ONLY people that believe that Deejay's car IS a Saleen are Deejay and his loyal followers.

BTW, I also have a collection of Saleen diecasts that Steve has autographed - Can I consider those real Saleens now too?

It looks alright, but I agree with minralgreyGT. That stuff is more for SUV's and trucks. I'm not a big fan of making cars look like something they're not. Like a bumper cover or wing is fine, but not the whole car.

Yea but isnt steve saleen the man in charge of making these vehicals the one that makes the calls so if he signs a car and says its a saleen it is. I dont know if he got the paperwork made up to make it an 06 but from what was told to me steve said its now a sanctioned saleen why cant you just accept that he prob paid just as much or more to make his a saleen as you paid for yours.

The fact of the matter is that it is not a saleen. It is a GT. It started out as a GT and nothing can change that. Saleen doesn't have the ability to wave a magic wand and pooof, its a saleen. Its still a GT. If I made a Cobra clone and got jesus himself to say it was a cobra i would still know its only a GT.

i dont think that saleen looks too great compared to any other saleens, the movie got too freaking boring watching somebody playing with his airbag suspension for a whole minute so i closed it.

It is a clean looking car... too bad it isn't a Saleen... I have a hard time with fake badges and stuff like that... Looses a ton of cool points cause of that... I would have spent that air-bag cash on something like supercharging... but still the cardoes lookclean.
