Default cai question

im debating wether or not to buy a JLT CAI from american muscle. is JLT is good choice? any recommendations for better cai's?? thanks.

Well CAI's are not unless. . . if you have a 75 mm tb & ui setup. You need a CAI that big or else whats the point. Plus a stock one wont fit with a 75 mm setup. I say you only need a CAI if you're going with a 75 mm setup. They say C&L makes a 76 mm CAI for that sort of thing but remember you're only flowing as much air as your smallest point so even if you're all like 90 mm crazy you have to remember you MAF. . . You can port it but i wouldnt recomend it to anyone that isnt a pro at that sorta thing.

Not COMPLETELY true.... Along with the sice of the smallest orifice, you also have to take into consideration the velocity of the air. My DenseCharger uses that to make a difference even with my stock TB...

A CAI makes for nice BLING under the hood. But like someone said if you're not running a bigger TB also, your really not gonna notice any more hp improvement than if you just stuck a K&N air filter into your factory intake. Save your money for real/better mods.

I think underdrive pullies will get you more power than a CAI, but they don't add much BLING under the hood
