t-56 or rebuilt t-45

Default t-56 or rebuilt t-45

i need a new tranny cause mine is starting to grind going into 1st gear and always did grind at high rpms going into 2nd so i was gonna upgrade transmissions but when i was looking at them i wouldnt find any t-56 for a 96 gt only 97 and up

If you have the $ for a T56 why would you consider rebuilding a t45?

how serious are you? I have a t56 with 79miles. we took it out a 98 gt and put a c4 with 4400stall. It has every thing needed to install, drive shaft tranny input shaft everything except clutch for 1250 plus shipping, pm me for details

only because i cant find any conversion kits for a 96 only 97 and up

tko 600 internals are smaller than the t 56, 03/04 cobras are running low 10s on a stock t56 with a clutch and input shaft.

I don't mean to hijack but I was just wondering this morning if a T-56 swap in a GT is easy what all is needed besides everything you would need to replace your exsisting tranny and clutch anyway?
