Well as you all know i now need new heads and cams and im getting further and further from selling this cursed car. . . . But upon pulling off the intake manifold we noticed a very unsettling crack in it (ill post pics up when i get it cleaned up and all). So now i get to buy a new intake manifold too. Im going to buy a new 75 mm throttle body and upper intake with this whole upper half engine build but really other than stock and p-51 and PP what are my other opions. I have a buddy that got a PP manifold along with the 75 mm combo and picked up a good 19 hp at the wheels. People say the PP maifolds are crap but seriously is there a reason why they're crap or just personal opinion. I thought that Trick flow was coming out for a manifold for us 2v guys but ive not found any info on that. . . . whadyaguys think?

Sorry, I'm in the dark. Why do you need new heads and cams? What were the symptoms/diagnosis?

From what I have seen the PP manifolds are really hit and miss... some have good luck with them and some bad.

I am looking forward to the reviews of the new trick flow stuff coming out, it is supposed to be out and availble in the spring of this year. If you can go that route I would at least look into it.

Why are you doing heads/cams again? Something wrong with the engine?

Ok guys for those of you who dont know. I threw a plug and it f'd up the head BAAADDDD and the cam got a piece of it a toasted the cam as well. This is all on the drivers side. Becuase of wear (my car has over 100k miles on it) I really need to buy a new seat of both not just the one side so it looks like i cant afford to sell my car right now and im going to sink alittle more money into this car. So i decided to go with aftermarket heads and cams. Theyre not much more than what ford wants for replacement stuff and since im going to be doing all the labor it wont be too too bad. . . .but thats where im at. But on top of all that pulling off the manifold we found a crack in it so oh well. Im anti plastic though so, as i cant afford a P-51, a PP manifold and 75 mm kit is the next best thing. Hopefully with the stage 2 heads and cams and the manifold along with my other misc bolt ons ill be around 300 rwhp but thats just being optimistic. . . . . .

Well, forgive me for being Mr. Obvious.

You are going to want to go with one of the two with your build and budget.[:-]

Lol yeah thats the one im thinking about is the second one. The whole 75mm combo and that manifold is proven at 20 rwhp. Not bad on top of the 30 to 40 hp ill be getting from the Cams and heads.

BTW we went ahead and ordered the Patriot stage 2 heads and Comp #102600 cams. I dont think those cams should be too hot for my app but well see.
