Default engine ID problems 6 or 8 bolt crank?

ok..long story short im trying to order a lightweight flywheel for my car 02GT, jegs offers two flywheels, for the same year group 96-03 a 6bolt crank and 8 bolt crank, now i called every ford dealership in the state of freCT and no one can give me a straight answer, apartently it boils down to weather its a romeo block or windsor block, romeos have 6 bolt, windsors have 8 bolt, but acording to my research, mustang SOHC 4.6 engines were only produced in windsor in 99-00, after 2000 production got moved back to romeo, now heres the tricky part, my 8th vin is X, X is windsor plant, so what the HELL is going on here, finally i called ford motorsports, they say i have a windor block and an 8 bolt crank, but if they stoped making the engine at windsor in 2000, then why do i have an X? AND, is it really worth buying the freakin thing to begin with? thanks
