Default Suspension Thoughts

I was reading the kit for the 12's in a 2v budget and it talks about upr and lower control arms

lakewood 90/10 or something of the sort but first I dont know what this is and two is this kit insanely better or a waste money and whats a K member and half the stuff on this list?! I hear this company is the best of the best! http://www.maximummotorsports.com/

its called the grip box street/strip in their packages section its 4k and i wanna know if its overkill or will my car handle like a german sports car?!

Ohhhh...... Hmmmmm..... CODE!!!!!! Code we need your opinion over here! lol.

I'm not 100 percent sure myself.... I know that the Suspension setup with THR's 2v is setup for Drag.... Not handeling like German or Euro cars.... Two different kinds of suspension for two different tasks.

I'm thinking this is a hybrid of the two.... drag and street.....

Oh yea... The K-member thingy and all that. Lightier and stronger material then stock OEM parts. Reduced weight and better handeling

Yea Code should be strolling by sometime soon. Suspension is definatly his department. My knowledge spans only to that for a drag supension, you want some thats adjustable and offers good weight transfer from the front of the car to the back allowing for maxium grip to the rear tires. A similar thought is given for street suspensions in regards to cornering and so one and so forth. Give THR a call. They should be able to set you up with some goodies.

A three link is best for road racing... A 4 link is best for the drag strip. So what ever your intentions are with your car I would set the suspension up for that. You should look into the Steeda 5-link which probably performs well at both. The k-member is a tubular design which reduces weight from the front and it changes the suspension geometry and improves many qualitys over stock... This is the maximum motorsports k-member. Some k-members are just the stock design redesigned tubular. Its good because it makes getting to the headers a breaze!

I read it but for what I am looking for is it worth 4 k. I want an exotic feel to my car in power and handling. i am willing to shell out my limit on a budget for my car is to pay around 11 grand all said and done for everything I put new meat on 1000 apperance stuff is another 300 and 4k in suspension leaves 5700 for supercharger , cams, gears, and tunes.. Wow i might spend more lol!!!!
