I put them in my car. I have 282 RWHP W/O a tune, so with one I should be close. Sean Hyland recommends you change them and he knows what he is talking about. You can get a cobra MAF and save money. I got a pro-m through ebay for like 50 bucks used.

your stock inj and MAF are more then up to the task of a 300rwhp N/A setup...no need to change them. FI is different at 330 or so you will need atleast 30lb inj's but the stock MAF is still good. To recalibrate your injectors on a 96+ it is done in the tune.

I guess N/A is different. My tuner said my GMS MAF was maxed out (when hes was checking maf counts), but mu injectors were fine. 24lbs.

Just upgrade and go. 320rwhp here

Right now I am in the process of gathering the parts. But basically with stg 2 ported PI heads and good cams, then all other boltons, you should be at 300 or a little more. On stock or even mildly ported heads the bolt ons don't do much, but it seems with a PI swap, using stg2 type porting and properly matched cams, the motor wakes up and bolt ons start producing better results. I read Seans book and he has a 350HP n/a motor build that he lays out step by step. If I don't supercharge then I will mostly follow his component recomendations.

ArmyDad,

It is my goal to get to 300 rwhp N/A. May I ask what mods you have? I am planning on getting Patriot heads and cams in addition to my other upgrades (see sig). I am hoping that will get me there.

I wish I had the book with me but there is a table for horsepower restrictions and injectors. 350hp is the cut off for 24lbs injectors I believe. I think the 19lbs were around 300hp.

Yes there is. He has a chart in the book showing injector size and HP range. I believe you are correct with the stated numbers as well.
