350$ to much for gears??

Default 350$ to much for gears??

I got quoted 350 for just the install of 3.73 gears? that a good price, how much u guys pay??

Tell him to stuff it.

Gears shouldn't take much longer than 3 hours if you are anywhere near a competant mechanic. I don't think $350 is a fair price, but hey, if he's the only one who will do it...

not sure about the price but i seriously doubt that it takes a full day to put gears in...seriously

i found a shop that will do it for 250,

I have to bring the the parts, beside the gears will i need anything else??

i was pricing out gears and a "Gear Instilation kit" on mustangtuning now makes me think i will need to bring somethin else that day beside the gears, is thier any other parts i will need for the shop to install??

dude, 250 is still getting you reamed... $175 is the most you should pay - all the shops I know charge $150

Bring them your own gear oil and friction modifyer

I supplied the gears, a new Auburn differential, an install kit with all new bearings, and the oil and friction modifier and got mine put in for $300 10 years ago. I think the price you got quoted is too high just to install the gears but the law of supply and demand rules!
