Default Maybe you guys can help

Well I own a V6 but I think this question has the same general idea...So I put LT headers on the car and now I have a code that says the front o2 sensor is getting a slow reading. The problem is the car runs fine and the code comes and goes as it pleases with no symptoms. Could this be because the o2 sensors are farther back than they used to be??? Could there be some other causes?? Btw I have the mil eliminators and the headers are ceramic coated

Is the O2 sensor cable in good shape? Not streached or frayed,, or too near the hot exhaust pipe?

You answered your own question. The o2s have to heat up within a certain amount of time, I think 5 min, or it throws the code and with it being farther back it takes longer to heat up.

when you made your own extensions you could have slowed the reading down because when you add on wire to a o2 or any other sensor it can slow the reading down because it takes more ohms to get a reading through a wire its really only with o2 sensors so that maybe the whole problem is unless you soldered the wire and didnt crimp it
