Default "Plug" me in please

my 96 GT has the Ford supercharger (6lb boost/30lb injectors, etc.)

I am running the plugs suggested to me by the "experts"--NGK TR6 at .32

Is this a good fit or would you suggest something else.

thanks,

Major Mike

thats a good plug for you...are you using the included computer that came with the kit? Its a horrible tune and i've seen people gain 20-30hp by putting the stock computer back in and get a SCT tune. Some 42lb injectors/Lightning 90mm MAF and a 9lb pulley will also jump the hp alot...and the best gain will come from a set of blower cams.

the TR6 is 1 heat range colder and perfect for a blower car with 6-9psi of boost. The BR7EF is 2 ranges cooler and for higher hp.

Droptop Bob,

thanks for the insight

Are there any advantages to going to the newer generation plugs--iridium, v, etc?

Also, thinking about upgrading to MSD Coil packs and 9mm wires--will that change anything?

thanks again,

Major Mike

The upgraded packs and wires are a good idea since you have an older car...i went with the live wires and screamen deamon coil packs...
you won't see enough of a gain to run the irridium plugsover the coppers...especially considering they cost like 9X's more.
