Default Tire shine? I know, I know

Yes I know it's probably OT or Detailing section, but I always feel like I get more responses here. First I can't remember what brand tire shine it was but always when I put it on and drive somewhere I would look and a whole bunch of it was thrown all on the fenders and sides. Then used meguiars and same thing happened. Has anyone else noticed this, and what is a brand that doesn't do that?

I usually spray it onto a rag and wipe it on the wheel, the tire gets plenty of shine but none runs around the lip of the wheel/top of the threads and gets thrown all over the car.

I'm pretty much sure all of it gets sprayed all over cars the first trip down the road

Am I the only person who doesn't like the way tire shine looks?

well I just bought the armor all gel stuff that you put on with that special applicator so maybe that will look better.

I know what you mean but if you find the right kind of shine it looks good. Do you like the dull look when it doesn't have shine? That is what mine looks like now since it is winter and it would be a waste to put it on since the water would wash it right off. I can't stand how it looks.

Yeah, but with just the outside of the tire shining, the tread of your tire looks even worse. And I think it makes everything look like mierda.

yes, yes you are.

tire shine is night and day on a car, and it can be used for much more than tires

Use NXT insane tire shine, it doesnt come out as a foam, and is much tackier than your regular tire shine, so it woun't be tossed all over your fenders.

Whoever said they don't like tire shine....[sm=WTFsgign.gif]

Spray/wipe on the tire shine, and don't drive it for a while. No matter what kind of tire shine you use....if you drive it right after you shine them, its gonna spray a little bit.
