wierd idle

wierd idle
Well I was sitting in line for some starbucks when I feel the car kinda shake a little. So I put it in park and it stops. It only does it when at a stop in D with the brake on. The idle dips really low almost to a stall then it shoots up to about 800 then back down. It doesnt do it often but it did it about 6 times within the 5min that I was in line waiting. Wondering if any one has ever encoutered this.

But my guess...Theres a vacuum leak. It almost seems like your booster is sucking up all the air from your engine and it's wanting to die becuase the rpm's are low at idle. My car does this in neutral when I stomp on it, like 80% to the floor. But I can hear that weird whining sound like the car has low power steering fluid. I think it's a vacuum leak. Check all your hoses ant tubes for anything loose, and if there is, patch it up, then try it.
